gday guys currently looking at redoing my whole stereo but keeping it all pioneer (except maybe amps). Just wondering if the splits would be better than the 6x9's. (im looking to make it a lot louder and not go distorted)

The splits -

6x9's

I will also be combining all of this with 2 of these subs

But at the moment im open for ideas on the amps im going to need.

Also i have a DEH-P9650MP H/U.

Any ideas/suggestions are welcome.

Splits + subs
OR
6x9's

subs + splits do a better job all round than a set of 6x9s will, adding sub sto 6x9's will get you to much bass.

6x9's were cool in 1989, there's a lot better available these days, like components and a sub. Also remember if you get 6x9's you'll need spacers on the parcel shelf, as it's illegal to cut any steel from the parcel shelf.

ok thanks guys i'll go with the splits.

I also need some help picking amps. Ofcourse im trying to stick with just pioneer gear so there isnt a whole lot to pick from. Basically i need amps/amp for 2 sets of the splits in the first post and 2 x the subs also listed in the first post. What amps do people recommend for each? (Pioneer if possible).

Oh also it looks like strathfield have cut bigger holes in the parcel shelf to put in 6x9s is there a way i could make the splits fit in the parcel shelf without it looking like s**t or without it leaving a huge gap?

pics?

Strathfield installer should be shot/sued. The rear parcel shelf in a falcon is structural (unlike say a flexy bodied bombadore)
