im just wondering where abouts the best place in adelaide is to get my brake lights tinted?
wat sorta price am i looking at? if u know of any place it would b good if u let me know..

do it yourself.

i think its called night shades, its in a spray can.

its not legal though

hehe hey champ it usually starts with the search option ;) tinting the brake lights has been covered before, and u will find some useful info on legal issues :P

ive got a spoiler wid a brake light in it so it shouldnt be a prob

As pointed out too. it's still illegal. ADR says brake lights need to be visible for 200 meters in daylight.

illegal sure but why would you do them black, which looks s**t. i have done this to every car of mine and some of my mates cars and never had any problems. although i tint mine slightly just to make it look a little darker. the problem with night shades is that it stays matt after you spray it. i put a few coates of clear over the top to get it looking shiny (jus like they were before they were tinited) you can see the light out of them fine, during the day and at night. ill post up a pik of my ef, i did something a little different on this one. looks different.

but do you tint the outside of the lense... or the inside?

you paint the outside. this is a pik of my ef. i didnt do the reverse/indicator lights. as you can see its just slighlty tinted to make it look different to my old mans car atleast! (which is also a guna metal grey ef.)

heres my tinted brake lights... never had any cop troubles with them... wasnt hard to do... although they are pretty dark...although not all together black.... i got the "tint shades" from a repco store...

cheers guys..i ended up gettin that "night shades" stuff...it doesnt look to bad for a bit of a dodgy job..i will try and get sum pics up asap
