When i first got the car the pedal was spongie, i just assumed it needed new pads and discs, was waiting to see if i could find an upgrade kit at a decent price but i havnt been able to, in the last few days though the pedal has started to fall almost all the way to the floor before any braking starts to happen, once if gets down there the breaks work as good as they use to but the pedal goes that far that i almost have to pull me seat forward, if i pump the breaks the pedal will come back to where it use to be but as soon as i take my foot off the pedal it goes back to the way it was, the brake fluid is black so thats old or cooked which im guessing might cause the spongie pedal but i dont think it would cause them to go as bad as they are atm.
Its a bit hard for me to get the car to someone to have a look at it since i work night shift and now its easter so im hoping somone else has had this problem and can tell me what it was, im thinking probably booster or master cylinder but not 100% sure

Replace the old brake fluid and bleed all 4 cylinders, you will notice a huge difference.

Yeah about 1 ltr. if you get too much you can always use it next year when the fluid has to be renewed.

I bought 2 litres and used 1.
Problem isnt 100% fixed, brakes were good when it was first donebut after about 45mins or driving they are bit was than they were to start with (before they got really bad) all discs and pads have plenty of meat on them. Any ideas what could be wrong next?

That was my next guess, i know that if you hold your foot on the brake and it slowly falls then you have a booster problem but am unsure if that could be the problem without those warning signs, unfortunately i dont think anything will be open today to get a new one, would rather get a new one than a second hand one, i cant imagine it would cost more than $100 on a trade account.
