Hi folks,
I need a tuff auto trans for my ed falcon which will be running a turbo, approx 200 rwkw. Can anybody suggest what would be the best option with this? The car will be used as a daily driver and some off street use at the drags.... Fordman777 |

just get the btr done up ive herd that they can be doneup to handle around 400kw. the standard 4spd btr will live for a while but not worth it.

So I should ditch the std btr and upgrade to a c6? or maybe a c10? Any idea on cost for the c6 or c10?

Or modify the standard, if you go a c6 or c10 you will lose overdrive and it will change the ratio's, dont know by how much or for better or worse but they will change.

i would prefer to keep the standard box and just modify that, if its the best option so i can keep the car a daily driver. I waiting for a response to my email from Protrans in Hurstville. These guys have quite a few customer cars that run at the drags in Sydney, so see what they say.

if your only going to 200rw than get the standard one modified, there are places that do em up to xr6t spec and better.
contact aps or nizpro to find out who they use.

You wont need much done to handle 200rwkw, big oil cooler and au s5 solenoid with more pressure should see 200 alright. Theres a guy in a magazine ive got that will build a guaranteed 600rwhp capable btr, i cant remember his price but i think it was just short of $3000.
