Hey guys
hahah you thought i had them didn't ya No im here to get them my self too. cause i want to build my own engine stand and crane for my project. No way im going to spend $500 on a 450kg stand from repco. when i could spend $150 max on steel and paint. So if ya got a site or info on it that would be great dosen't matter what type of engine stand or crane Thx for ya time guys

Mate ur asking for trouble building your own engine cranes... I know someone that built their own ramps, and they collapsed as soon as he drove onto them...

Im sure my welds will hold with a 3000 dollar mig ive been welding for years not i got no problems with that
lol the mig can blow holes threw this steal easy got that much power just don't trust the metal LOL ow and thx for the reminder i had to make a set of car ramps LMAO

thats the old tech school project car ramps.... I need a set too much faster than jacks and stands..
You can even score most of the steel for free secondhand and make it for next to nix. Supercheap has lots of cheap hydraulic jacks as that is the biggest cost plus really good castors. Don' use supermarket trolley castors you need steel ones or really good industrial grade ones. |

I did a project/assignment for tech graphics where I designed an engine crane and engine stand in one. I have to find the drawing, It should be dimentioned but I dont think I made a cutting list. Might still be of use to you, let me know.

Don't need it to become stationary after the first motor LOL ow and off topic i can't help but say i got my self a job as a apprentice mechanic today starting tues day. i bought an engine stand from supercheap for $150
so far it has seen one escort 1600 engine one escort 2L engine my dads EB 6CYL engine and now it has my 6CYL engine still on it. as for a crane thats one thing i wont even build. and i have a cert in engineering. (metal fabreication) my dad bought me one as payment for rebuilding his engine. cost him about $600 i think |

Make one then take it in for a break test, will see if it holds.
get the bloody proper one from repco or from an auction.

Yeah you can buy a 560 kg engine stand from super cheap for around $160. For $500 you could also buy and engine crane that can carry 1.2T. I have used both and they seem to be to the job.

i made my own engine crane in 3 minutes.. and pulled the engine out in 8 minutes.
its called.. a long pole.. thick one.. 6 tyres.. and a tow rope and engine stand lol.. engine stand is great.. weights like 100kilo. but that one was welded.
