Lost key, and no replacement.

well, just to conclude on this.....

So far ive got 2 quotes,

A mobile service quoted $180
and another locksmith quoted $60-80 but you either have to get the car towed there or take the barrel out (like mentioned above).....

Me thinks i'll do what most people are saynig and take the barrell out myself and to the locksmiths..... the only problem remains is.... Hopefully the NRMA will be able to open the doors to the car :lol:

mate easy way take ur papers to ford get them to look up the key code via the vin take the code to a locksmith and they should be able 2 cut the key without any disassembly, provided the locks havent been rekeyed in the past

happened to me luckily for me i have differnt locks on my doors to ingnition and i had a spare door lock key, i just took the barrel out and gave it to the locksmith charged me $60 and gave me 2 keys, funniest thing about it they didnt ask for my details or nothing

how about getting key fo rmy glove box as when i got the car i never got a key and for legal reasons i need to be able to lock it.

try taking the back off the lock should be a code there n take 2 a locksmith alternatively go 2 a wrecker n buy a second hand lock with keys
