Yeah the Pro-M one shouldbe fine too, and $200AU for a 90mm LMAF is good. The LMAFs run the AU style plug so you will have to get a plug and convert over. What are you planing on using to tune the engine?

i've got a unichip - should be sufficient? might try and get the Pro M 82mm. 90mm and 82mm shouldn't make much difference should it?

With the unichip you will probably want to get the 42lb calibrated Pro-M MAF because I am not to sure if the unichip will have the ability to alter the fuel curve enough to compensate for the calibration of the LMAFs. The LMAFs do offer some advantages over the Pro-m's but unless you run a chiptorque or other form of edit then I would stick with the Pro-M.

the bloke with the 82mm Pro M said its a blow thru one and is flanged too. so would it be a fair restriction with the 82mm as a blow thru set up? as i dont really want to get rid of the unichip

In a blow through setup the size of the MAF isn't as important, but they normally aren't flanged, they are like the one in the pic you posted. CAPA use a 73mm C&L MAF in a blow through setup for their kits.

a few blokes on corral have said C&L mafs arent the best to tune, i'll have a look as there are a fair few of them for sale.

would i need a blow off valve? like a vortech mondo and wats an aftercooler. a lot of corral guys selling them.
the used vortech blowers used are 1600 3month warranty recond ones 2200. would the used one still be ok? |

Yes you really need a BOV with anything over 6-8psi. The Vortech Mondo is a bit of an overkill but it won't do any harm if you can find one cheap. Many people including myself run the standard Bosch plastic BOV/Bypass valves, they are ok until around 12psi and are fairly cheap.
The Vortech blowers are pretty bullet proof and I have heard them still running strong with 200,000kms+, so the used ones should still be ok (CAPA do a basic check over them I believe), and the recon ones are as good if not better than new IMO. |

The Bosch ones are only around $90 new, and you just fit them in a rubber grommet (no need for welding etc).
