ok i have a EF falcon.. with hardly any mods done at the moment, saving up for cam/turbo etc... but for argument sake ill list them

2.5" sports exhaust, cat-back
K&N airfilter - POD

and it has a 3.08 diff, to the best of my knowledge.. not 100% sure, but the EF's came out with the 3.08 i think?

and i got it converted to manual not too long ago.

Althought the acceleration is so much better then the old auto (off the mark).. i think i am having some problems in acceleration.

now, 0-50, my car is like a rocket, in a second or 2 it will hit 50km in first gear, then i change to second, and pretty much after that point, it doesnt hav much of a kick, untill i hit around 4000rpm, and suddenly, i can feel the kick again.
i change from 1st to 2nd at around 5000rpm

now is this normal, or is there something wrong, maybe spark plugs and leads?.. maybe a better diff ratio..? someone mentions soloniod, although i dont know what they actually do..

any advice would be helpful, thanks

What did you do to the ECU when the manual conversion was done?

haha good point, i didnt change the ECU, i put the resistors in place to trick it, so the fans dont run on full all the time, and fix the idle problem, you think this could be it? because as far as i know, doing this makes it just as good as a manual ecu.. thats wat i was told anyhow..

Did you fool into neutral or into drive, or does the ECU thinks it in limp home mode 3rd gear and would be crap.

The truth about fooling the ECU is, it works or it doesnt, appears yours doesnt, think about replacing it.

well the car runs fine actually, its smooth and the pickup is quite good, untill it reaches around the 60 mark.. and at that point, its not s**t! but its not great.. get me?

well with the ecu, if i take the resistors out - it runs 10 times worse then it does at the moment :S so i leave them in place..
