ok guys

t5 is going in very soon!
im going to toss the crappy rubber boot and am looking for a better one. any ideas/suggestions? oh yes and i need a knob for the shifter too.
do ford still sell the eb gt ones?

i got the eb gt shift boot from ford for only $21.
but they dont make the eb gt knob any more..

you can use the el gt knob but they are $188 from ford..

yikes! that 198 is pretty steep. ah well guess il find one at supercheap or autobarn. thanks

Do it yourself mate. It's not too hard, just fiddley :)

I reckon my knob in Jessica Alba would look pretty trick too...

lol, got the conversion already, getting jaysen from RPD to give me a hand. as for Jessica Alba.. i reckon my knob would look better in her than yours!

The EB GT Gear boot is a good option if you are on a budget, and dont mind cheap looking vinyl.

If you want something a little nicer - try a motor trimmer in your area - they might have some genuine leather offcuts they can make into a gearboot for you. (plus you can pick the colour, and stitching colour)

Gear knobs - there are a huge range available, and they probably look a lot better than what kezz or downingj have to offer.

The gearknob I have in my XR8 is a mustang cobra R gear knob. (its leather, pretty, and has the correct H patter)

thats what i did i got a grey & black leather (fake leather)knob from american auto's for about $25 . cheap and still looks good.
