in particular has anyone seen or know where to source one with a top inlet to suit 4 barrel carby????
has anyone heard of these not being able to be run wet? (with fuel and air going thru them)

i know the intake temps on these blowers can get very high without an intercooler, i belive at about 10psi with no cooler intake temps were around the 80 degree mark?
as for running wet, i believe the blades have a teflon? coating on them to reduce friction and i believe there have been cases of people running water injection on them and after a while there had been water damage to the coating. ill see if i can dig up a photo for you. im not sure if it was just the way holden set them up, but if they are all meant to run the same way they are an after TB setup IIRC

thanx guys, yeah any photos and info will be great.
the plan is to mount one on a 4 barrel cain manifold for a crossflow 250 with a 650DP on top, if i cant get a bodie that will allow me to mount it straight on top i will make an adaptor to go from the rear entry of the commo ones up to a 4bbl plate so the carby will actually sit behind the blower but level with the top of it. only hassel is the size of the hole in the bonnet this would require in the corty, but its not an everyday driver so bugger it. i have spoken to a bloke here in syd who can make the pulley and idler set up and also mount it to the 4bbl manifold at a good price, just trying to gather as much info as possible beforehand. in theory the fuel mixture should help to keep the intake temps down compared to an air charge only. cheers Rob.

I would go fuel injection. A fuel only ECU and injectors would be very cheap
here are a few pics btw

thats interesting stock standard. would be interesting to try fit one of these to a ef (thought about it in the past) except i have no idea how you would mount it. definatly something i would like to try.
yobboford, here are some pics thanks to a commodore that was running water injection for about a year.

Ive though about putting one on my EF as well. There are kits that mount the side on with a custom manifold, but I measured it up and if you made a adapter in place of the top half of the BBM manifold it should just fit, although it would need a new fuel rail.

got any links for those adapter plates that go on the side? i take it the TB goes on the u bend and the adapter goes from the bottom of the blower and bolts directly onto the inlet ports? any idea of what their worth?
guessing you would need to relocate the coil pack. wouldnt mind an attempt with that running about 7psi and a rising rate reg.

It wasnt an adaptor plate - its a new intake manifold for the I6. The kit is done by yella terra but their site is down for construction. I had some pics around but cant find them
