another way is to tap into fuel power line.. black with yellow stripe runs down drivers side under the plastic trims on floor, cut and run wires to switch, cranks but wont start....

can do same with aftermarket gas too at lpg/petrol switch as has main power feed too

put it under the drivers seat, as wires are only 5 inches away if that from the seat. not many people look under the seat for a kill switch do they

the trouble with a finger scanner is that a car jacker could knock you unconscious and place your finger in the scanner, or worse, cut your fingers off, and carry the scanned one around as a key

I rekon that box (fingerprint scanner) would be quite expensive...

So, you used the main 12v running to the ignition? Does this mean that no accessories work either? Or is it purely the starter motor that doesn't get power?

Im thinking of doing the same sort of thing except, im thinking a dash mounted starter button like the new GT's, u can just parallel it with the start on the ignition barrel, so that when u normal have the key in ignition at on and u turn that little more to crank starter instead u press button and it starts. Just for fun

One more thing, anybody know if the ignition wiring differed much between models? What I am getting at is, if I do the same to my ED as has been done here, is it going to work or not?

it should be the same. EF and EL ignitions are interchangable with smartlock EBII and EDs
