hello peoples
just a little problem with my steering , it feels sticky 
ive just had the ball joints replaced and a wheel alignment and thats all good but when it comes to going around corners and releasing the wheel for it to come back it doesnt and keeps holding its line. as well feels like tyres are scrubing checked air pres 33psi all good but i want this sticky steering to be gooone.could it be anything to do with the steering rack or suspention componant? all help is appreiciated cheers

Could be the castor angle mate. What does the steering feel like otherwise? Very light?

try puttin some oil on the bottom bearing of the steering colum in the fire wall it maybe a bit dry i get the same sort problem with my ed. it got the rubber from under the carpet in it and now it drys up every now and then i just put some sewing oil on it works a treat.

have the same problem atm. it feels like i have no power steering and it makes a clicking sort of noise wen i try and steer. i thought it may be the power steering pump.

Is there fluid in pump? 33 psi in what kind of tyres?

not at all,feels heavy Is there fluid in pump? 33 psi in what kind of tyres? yep, stock tyre size 205/65/15

got mine looked at today, the mechanic said it was the steering coloum bearing. quoted $500.

Yeah the bearing at the base of the steering column dies, fairly common. Just go to the wrecker and try and find a good one. But you have to remove it a particular way or you will stuff it. You unbolt the steering shaft in the engine bay first, then the plate at the firewall, then the rest.
Install it the opposite way. Its a bad design, but also because someone may have adjusted the steering wheel and yanked it forward, causing the bearing to come out. Also when the steering shaft is disconnected dont be tempted to spin the steering wheel as fast as you can, you will quickly f**k it.

so the bearing is at the base of the steering column behind the plate but on the "inside of the car" side of the firewall?
