Can anyone help with this??
I purchased this ECU from a fellow forum member. It is believed to be from an EF 6cyl. It is also a tickford lpg ECU. 06/26/95 production 94DT-12A650-GD 4TGD My question is this: Can anyone please tell me if it is an EF series 1 or EF series 2. They are different (slightly) as the series 2 tickford LPG system requires an extra wire for the LPG lock off solenoid on the converter.(pin 98) Series 1 EF LPG system uses pins 92 95 Series 2 EF LPG system uses pins 92 95 98 I can get around this if it is a series 1. The easiest way is to plug it into your car and test it - apply IGN 12v to pin 92 to operate the petrol system. Turn ignition on.
Pin 98 should be the petrol lock off shouldn't it ???(12v Petrol, 0v LPG) Pin 92 is LPG/Petrol select (12v Petrol, 0v LPG) Pin 95 is LPG lock off (12v Petrol, 0v LPG) To get accurate readings, you should temporarily connect the lock offs to their respective pins to give a load to the system. If it is a series I ECU, you can achieve petrol lock off by using an interlock relay to disable the fuel pump while on LPG - the injectors will of course be shut down by the ECU (this is probably your workaround anyway).

All good
Got the info from Petrojet. It is an EF dual fuel colum shift ecu. Basically it is a series 1 EF taxi computer. Just got my hands on a Ef series 11 wagon lpg ecu. production date 05/31/96 Code 4TEG 94DT - 12 12A650 - EG Thought I'd put this up to help others in future. If this is all good I will be putting the EF series2 XR6 auto ecu up for sale. Cheers Dazza |
