I do believe they are illegal, but behind the front bumper if you must

they are not illegal. The musical ones are, or osilating ones are, but standard two tone (One high tone, one lower tone) ones are fine. Just remove the old horn from behind the bumper and mount them off there behind the bumper. I had a set in my old EA & they were perfect there. I currently have 3 tone in my AU and there mounted the same, i have 3 horns off one bolt where 1 horn was, the second horn bolt snapped off in the bolt hole when removing so i am stuck using one. They work perfect there, and just run the air compressor inside the engine bay, with hose running out to the horns.

I cable tied the hose on aswell, to add extra hold power so they dont blow a hose off.

i put them where the airbox normally goes (cfi ea) then moved them to the front guard when i went to mpfi.

i found a nice big open space in the front bar underneath the light fixtures, i intend on mounting mine there, and to answer the illegal question some horns are, such as musucal, or siren tone horns, or horns that exceed the noise limit like mine :D. thank god for an air tank instead of those crappy 12v compressors.

I have mine on the rear firewall facing to the front of the car, the mounting bracket that came with them sat perfect in the metal lip that is on the XH firewalls. But ive got a big set and couldnt put them anywhere else.

There actually sitting in my garage at the moment connected up to my home compressor......just to s**t the neigbours
