Is the EB series 1 ECU compatable with a EL XR6 engine?

What will be the negative of not changing the ECU over to the Newer?

It wont be able to control broadband manifold or thermo fans.

Obviously spark and fuel maps wont be optimised for the cam/head characteristics of the ELXR6 donk.

Whats the broadband manifold. I thought it really would matter about the MAPs, because te Diff ratios are different?

Will this really kill engine.........like not going as hard as it should....

Following on from the question above...sorry I just thought it.

How hard is it to change an ECU over, what will be involved?

easy change over, take off the passenger kick panel, undo the screw holding the bracket and earth wire on then one 10mm bolt on top of the wiring harness into the ecu. Are you putting a eb ecu into a el or a el ecu into a eb? because i think the eb1's still ran a seperate computer for the auto whereas el had the auto control built into the ecu so the eb1 ecu prob wont work in a el.

Righto i know that a el ecu can be put into a eb but im not exactly sure if anything has to be changed, shouldnt though, it should just bolt straight in.
