hey all i am looking at finally doing some work to my car next month, i will find out 2mrrw if i get the money, i am looking at getting the 5spd conversion done at alted performance, which i will book, and plus get a set of extractors and high flow cat, and maybe a bigger cam. what else performance wise could i do to get some more power outa the car.?? the headgasket, welsh plugs and timing chain are getting replaced too before all this happens, and wat power figures roughly should i get outa the above

what would that roughly be at the motor? when getting the xr computer put in it what advantages does it have over the normal one?

hard tospeculate et the motor unless u take the engine ota the bay n directly hook it up to an enfine dyno.. 130rwkw is my guess... try a mandrel bend intake n cold air intake.. unichip,motc.ems? vernier cam gear... dyno tune? port/polish?

xr computers are usualy more tolerable of bigger cams.. no 180kmh limit..

how much money you gonna have left, get a panel filter and if you got heaps of cash, get it turboed and edited.

if the head gasket is getting changed have the head shaved about 20 to 30thou and use an AU headgasket to bring the compression up.
you'll pick up power across the entire rev range and also gain some fuel economy. |
