I read somewhere that Blackwood was the term/name given to XD-XF shapes? Whats the dealw ith that?

Blackwood was XD, Redwood was XE and Greywood was XF. But most people say that blackwod was for all XD-XF models.

did some investigating, went to the ford website (http://www.ford.com.au) and checked out the enw GFalcon and it only says Barra on the ones fitted with the 4.0L DOHC I6 - so I am 100% sure it is the name for the engine not the range - remember these are BF's now aswell and there still using. E.g. for normal Falcons it says "Barra 190" and for the XR6T it says "Barra 245T". So engine code barra then the number is for the engine output in kilowats and t for turbo is applicable... |
