I am having a weird problem with my transmission in my AU when it is cold.

Before the transmission warms up if I make a Right hand turn on the chnge to second gear It completely looses drive. I have to pull up and wait for trnamission to engage.

If I manually select 1st go thru the turn and select drive after car is out of corner its fine its w eird problem not sure if its a dodgy solenoid or what.

It was originally only doing it in economy now its doing it on power.

Once Transmission is warm there is no issue its a strange one.

anyone have any clue what problem is.

Mate it sounds as though your transmission fluid is in DIRE need of a top up!!! Seriously, get this looked at before you kill the thing.

Ford should NEVER have removed the dipstick from these transmissions.

Thats what we thought so we dropped pan changed filter and replaced fluid.

A tranny low on fluid tends to play up no matter whether hot or cold I have driven cars low on fluid before

You could have a leak in the circuit that supplies the front band.

Take it to a trans specialist or if your feeling handy you could take the front servo cover off and check the O-rings on the piston.

The other thing I forgot to mention is it is only first thing in the morning.

I leave for work have problem on first right hand corner (only does it withing first 3-4 km's of driving)
Get to work Leave car parked for 8 Hours

End of day get in car drive home no issues (my first turn is a U turn)

It also seem to be ambient temperature related it doesent occur on warm summer mornings
