i've hit another problem in trying to get my car back on the road.

liek the rocker gear doesnt sit on nice now?????

what the hell!

i've taken it on and off heaps of time but now it doesnt wanna sit on the littlw guides.

does anyone have a suggestion to my problem?

its the actually rocker arms and that.

like if i put the bolts through and tighten them up all is good but if the bolts r'nt in there like it sits all f**k like twisted sorta.

like its never done this before.

u think it would be ok like this?

the reason it doesnt sit on tight is because the valve springs havent been compressed which is the reason why you need those bolts to hold it down on them. In terms of which way it goes, one side of the rocker gear has 2 holes off to an angle different to the other side. See where it matches up on the head.

(by tightening those bolts down, the springs automatically get compressed, hence why it sits on properly so yes, it will be fine)

LOL I had this "problem" when I did my head gasket...caught me out, couldn't figure out what was going on...but then realised it was the springs and if I tightened the bolts, it compressed down fine...

If you have used AU head bolts they can foul on the rocker posts. A light touch with a die grinder on the posts will give you the clearance you need.
