I like to mod and test out things on my car often and have been tinkering with the idea of a larger TB, just wondering if anyone can oversize them or if u have any for sale?

the I6 TB suposidly flows heaps for the engine size. a few people have ported them slightly i believe, but not large gains really

u can get bigger tb's but a huge increase in fuel comes with it with alomost zero increase in power
for a larger tb to be effective u will need a BIG cam and headwork to allow greater airflow

I don't understand why there would be a huge increase in fuel and no gains. if your getting more fuel in it's be because more air is gettingin or the cars computer controller is confuseed. if you are getting more air and fuel in then you'd definately be expecting more power.

slighlty more power... 1-2hp mayby? on a car with lots of mods though... not worth it on a stock motor.. u need at least extractor n a good intake and exhaust to make the most of the lil power gain u get... porting also helps... disco's theory on bad fuel consumption -lead foot?

The throttle body is not a restriction. Several people (including myself) have had no gains and some loss in before and after dynos.
My chipped computer wasnt too happy with it either. On acceleration it would have a small cough then surge. I suppose it depends on how happy the computer is before you put it on.

the only trouble i had when installing the throttle body is that the idle speed controller mounted on top of the throttle body is mounted at a 45 degree angle... stil works perfectly normal though...

Really dont think a bigger TB is needed in comparison with other 6's she a big 1, with a decent intake setup it pulls just fine(can benefit from a good clean though) better gains to be had by saving your cash and put it towards a Powerchip or similar and those guys guarantee the gains all for about $600.
