Probly a stupid question but can u paint the stupid chrome trims along the doors on an el mont ghia no probs?????

if you cleaned them and primed them properly should be able to. but you'd prolly find someone willing to buy the chrome ones off you...

no u cant. unless u want to sand them down and paint them a different color that is. there is no paint that comes up with a chrome finnish trust me i tried many times with my fairlane.

Whats the easiest way to remove pinstripes???? Give it a little sand n paint n cut n polish n see how it all comes up. What do fairmont ones look like ne1??? are they body color or grey??

Fairmont ones are almost same as Ghia trims. Where the chome strips are, the Fairmont ones are flat plastic and that area is left unpainted (so is plastic grey colour) and the rest of the mold is body coloured.

Pin stripes can be lifted off like a sticker, then cut and polish to clean the area up.

Or panel beaters have a special magic little roller that can pin stripe and residue without any scratching.
