Just went to fit my new underdrive alternator pulley from BPT and it doesn't fit, the shoulder on the back is to large to fit into the housing on the alternator. Anyone had a similar experiance??

Thats odd, you'd be best off calling BPT and asking them.

You must of got the 3 pulley kit from BPT. When I got mine, it was the single pulley and the longer belt it was easy as to fit.

Have you got an aftermarket alternator maybe?

Perhaps you guys should put a pic of your alternators up. On my EB my old 85a unit packed up and a mate had a 110a one. It bolted on but needed a bit of modifying to fit properly. It had a 7 rib pully on it but the 5 rib one from the 85a one wouldnt fit.

Hi There, PM me your contact info and mailing address and I will chase this up for you. It is possible we have overlooked your refund on the alt pulley.

Regards,

Barry.

Hi Kato,

You can still run the stock belt without the alt pulley in the kit, however I would be interested in finding out why this does not fit properly. Let me know if you have an after market alt.
If you can send me a brief description of the fittment problem and perhaps a sketch of the interference this would be great. We can then figure out what needs to be done and why only some have this problem.

send to bpt@norcom.net.au

Regards,

Barry.
