Is SA u cant buy a COP ecu for the cops are all commies. So i want to know what improvement ill get from a cop ECU and how much it will cost on average in the eastern states.

A cop EEC is no different to the others except for the speed limiter being turned off.

so in conclusion there is no point unless i want to do 180+ which i dont.

Well you can take every gear into redline as well.. not really something you wanna be doing.. but it helps on those 1/4mile times

In actual fact you can do that anyway...they are all rev limited. Power has normally dropped off by the time you hit the limiter so shifting on the limiter will actually make you go slower. If you want to go faster than the speed limiter you can fit a switch in your VSS line to the EEC. Once you've shifted into top you can flick the switch so the EEC no longer knows what speed you're doing...therefore it can't limit it. Make sure you switch it back on so your auto knows when to shift again. If it's manual it don't matter. Pete. |
