hi guys just a few Qs.

as far as im aware, stock EF GLi didnt have LSD but a mate of mine recons that some GLi do which sounds like total s**t to me.
also ive been told that stock diffs last longer than the LSD and are more reliable and smoother as LSD diffs get really noisy after awhile and tend to stuff up, anyone else heard of this or can confirm??

cheers fellas

standard diff'll be cheaper to replace too if it breaks. lsd might have been a factory option avaliable.

LSD were a $350 option on EA-ED's for any of the diffs though fairmont ghia's, xr's and "most" police pack's got them as standard.

LSDs can wear out whereas single spinners (generally) dont... me and my mates have killed a few single spinners but i'd call that breaking and not wearing out.

if you want two wheels ALL the time and no wearing out....mini-spool :P

My EA Fairmont Ghia still has its factor LSD and its got 457000 Km's on it
Its been a manual since 409000 km's i am supprised I never killed it.
I used to keep doing UNI's untill i replaced yoke with EF flange type and EF tail shaft. I havent even had to pull cover off it yet. only chnaged Oil once.
