I need to know how to pull out the axles and diff in the au2 to replace the 3.45 s/s diff with an LSD, and replace the broken axle shaft, just im at a loss of how to pull it out... \
My greggorys manual got water damaged and i cant read it !!! :S any info is useful cheers Janek

ive never worked on diff in question but most cars need a slide hammer to get axles out , undo brakes etc and sometimes need to undo bolts/nuts throuigh center of disc , then use slide hammer to pull out axle , a slide hammer is something that latches onto or behind axle , it has a long shaft that has a heavy weight on it that you slide outwards , shaft has an end on it and when it hits this it puylls it out , some axles need one hit , othewrs need 20

I think a diff doco is really needed so if you could, once you have done it yourself, a doco with pics would be great

Turn the disc around and put a few loose nuts on it (after you undid the flange nuts on the axle) pull back firmly on the disc from the 'home' position so it acts like a slide hammer.
These diff's don't usually bind as bad as a banjo or a salisbury as they're not as old! also put a rag on the ground to prevent spillage!
