How does ford actually colour there leather? Is it paint on stuff or is it a dye?

you'd think that it'd have to be dye as paiting it on wouldn't last for s**t when it's being rubbed and that when people are sitting on it!

i think leather goes through a tanning process in a factory ..(dyed)?

leather is only used on the bolsters iirc, the reast is vinyl. Not sure if that would make a difference when dying it.

Not true I have leather and have had to replace some parts of the seats ae times and it is real leather which seats are you talking about (model and year :?: ) :roll:

with my previous cars, i know EB to EL models used real leather for Ghia and LTD models.
