Im about to service my EB Fairmont series I V8.

Replacing the following -

Oil filter
Oil
Air filter
Power steering fluid
Brake fluid
Radiator coolant
Transmission fluid
Spark plugs
Battery
Ignition leads

Can anyone give suggestions on the best products to buy and how much?

Also any tips for the work would be great too

All textbook stuff if you have done those to another car before. Oil will dribble over the engine crossmember when you remove the filter. I've changed the brake fluid, oil & oil filter after each visit to wakefield & flushed the radiator a couple of times it is all pretty easy. Even the plugs are the easiest ive done (as long as the engine is stone cold) despite the gas converter trying to obstruct the right bank.

Personal preference will vary according to who you ask but in my series 1 eb 5.0L i use
Valvoline Oil filter -cos i got a 4-pack for $20, had no problems
Castrol gtx Oil with lucas oil stabilizer -about $15 & $17 (but apparantly windsors don't like their oil too thick)
valvoline Air filter
Lucas Power steering stop leak on its own (really thick & only cos my pump is on the way out. it doesn't like the track days) -$15ea, 1.5 bottles
castrol dot 4 Brake fluid (silver bottle, good pedal feel with bendix pads) -$9ea or so, 2 bottles should refill the entire system iirc, but buy a third for flushing/spare
Cant remember which Radiator coolant, just make sure it suits cast iron heads & blocks
Transmission fluid N/A, (T5 conversion)
standard NGK Spark plugs as ive found they don't foul too fast, (especially when using mostly gas, funny that )
Need a new Battery
& Bosch Ignition leads -around $85 iirc
Most bits were bought from super cheap (catalogues on the chains tell you which part numbers), but my local auto1 also looks after me pretty well. hope this helps

Penrite HPR15 seems to be the engine oil that alot of 302 owners use. I recently switched from Penzoil and I'm quite happy thus far.
