hey all was looking into getting an xr6 ecu how much would i be looking at and where would i get one? i wont it not so i do not have a limiter but so i can have the 3.45 diff because i think that the stock ecu in my mont will not run it am i right? or do you guys think it would be smarter just to wait till i have the money and get an aftermaket ecu? thanx guys

the stock ecu will still run fine with the 3.45 diff. i've been running and Tickford ECU with standard diff. the wagon now has a full Tickford spec driveline but. remember these ecus are ment for the Tickford enhanced engines aswell. personally i think you should keep an eye out for one, there worth it if you plan to do any minore head work or cam change later on. there expensive and hard to come by though...

cool thanx, i am looking at getting a full DEV 5 kit so maybe i should just wait and get a piggy back or save and get an aftermaket ecu.

Save and get an after market ECU. I've been there done that with the DEV5a kit. Unichip (piggy back) was the worse thing I ever did. MoTeC M800 was the best thing ever.
BTW, you'd probably get a better response to this thread if you posted it in the ECU forum, not the 6cyl forum. Cheers
