Yep thats right

Bought a supposedly reco T5 off ebay about 6 months ago, had it installed by Crescent motorsports yesterday. The box is totally F**k! Jumps out of 1st as soon as u let the clutch out, there is some massive bearing whine (it sounds like i have a gilmer drive lol) and yea, the box gets way way hot

Big thanks to the guys at Crescent though. They are awesome. Apologies to Jaysen at RPD who I originally had lined up to do the swap, due to a pretty full on schedule and me not getting parts in time left me without a choice to go local. Im glad I did but, launching from 2nd isnt too fun lol

So now im after a new box, otherwise Joe will do a full reco on mine. I've wasted something in the order of 600 bucks. not happy jan

Also try eBay.com.au's fraud prgram, if you have a reputable mechanic to back you up and hte seller ain't helping you can prolly get some dollars out of them!

It's a bit of a hassle to do, but then again it's less work than going to work to earn another $600.00...

yea i dunno what to do, i have emailed him and he has replied with he would have been willing to reimburse me IF i sent him the box and he could verify it was the same box.

I bought it in November.

But i needed to use the f**k box to exchange for the reco one i just bought. Now its all good, but cost me another 600 i didnt need to spend. Or even had.
