an el ECU will not work in an EF.. EL's are dizzy EF are coil pack you HAVE to have the EF ECU to run the coil pack. EL ecu does not perform this task.

ask justfordima about megasquirt II if you want an alternate to the stock ECU..

BTW why the hell are you even asking for a police ECU if you don't even know what it does??

it changes the shift points and speeds at which the ECU lets the box change.. in that it is for AUTO's you cannot get a manual cop ECU or if you can it would be like hens teath..

take some time read through the site there is a heap of info, I take it you are looking at getting more power. an EL ecu will not do that for you, a cop ecu will not do that for you. engine mods will..

send jaysen from RPD/Alted a pm and ask him about options for various mods and give him an idea of what sort of budget you have..

but seriously get yourself some education on the gear you are asking for before you spend money on something you don't need. not trying to be rude, but it just comes out this way..

good luck.

there is no manual police ecu and todd is right, you can't use an EL ecu on the EF coz of the coil pack. You can change it to distributor if you want but not worth the effort.

hence the reason if you found a manual ECU ex cop it would be rare as hens teath..

I think you need to look at your justification for a cop ecu not just cause a mate told you they were round..

besides you can get cop ecu in EF anyway.. but with other gear you are searching for it sounds like you have a manual or that is what you want to do.
