Dunno if anyone has noticed this before, but after changing my bbm back to a normal mpefi manifold due to ecu issues, if you snap the throttle open any more than 1/4 of the way it goes to stall then picks up revs, there are no vacum leaks, and all the electrics where fine before i put this manifold back on, also reset ecu. anyway thought it might be fuel press reg, the old one had no trace of fuel in the outlet at the bottom, so i threw another one on, came good for about 5 mins then started doing the same thing but not as bad, now this is where it starts getting wierd, the idle is hunting accross 500rpm, as soon as the idle drops and starts getting a bit rough, the inlet fuel hose actually moves towards the rear of the car, and gets rock hard, then the idle picks up and it moves back to its normal position and has a bit of flex in it, is this related to the problem of the hesitation? BTW the car wasnt hesitating with the bbm on so im quite sure i can rule out fuel system (bar fuel rail/reg) and ignition system. Anyone have any ideas?

cheers

chris

i have a ea manual ecu in it atm, also tried eb ser1 auto ecu same thing, after googling for about an hour it keeps returning ignition or fuel, but neither of those have been touched, would a vacum leak provide these symptoms?

I heard a story that it you can smell fuel inside the car, that it could be the charcoal canister. I never had anything to do with it, so thats about all a can safely say.

its setup exactly like it is supposed to be, and its started getting rouger and blowing heaps of black smoke, exact same symptoms when on one of my old e series the map sensor hose had cracked, but all the hoses fit snuggly, i cant hear any leaking sounds around the manifold, and everything goes to where it is supposed to go

thats not normal. Something is majorly (or minorly)

I'd be going over those vac lines really carefully, look for any f**k electrical connectors, check MAP sensor, TPS, the whole shebang
