more timing gives you a little more power. Run it on premium, twist the dizzy a few degrees, you might get a couple more HP and better fuel economy.

How do you advance the timing? Is it something you would recommend someone doing with no prior experience and only a set of instructions? |

its easy to do. There is a bolt that holds the dizzy in place. back it off a little, turn the dizzy a little bit, tighten it and check with timing light. Each 1.5mm you move the timing mark is 1 degree.
If you do it and when driving you hear pinging (like crackles form the engine) youve gone to far. Back of the throttle ASAP and turn the timing back a few degrees when you can.

sadly the truth behind 99% of car modding is spending cash. but if you want some mods to do yourself cheapishly;
-buy extractors and fit urself? -dito catback -if your running an auto that is in good nick, read up on the electronic shift kit, cost me $6 for mine. -au snorkle ~$35 -pod ~$30 just some ideas... Rushed |

4 washers @ 5cents and space ya cat. LOL. Its louder and also sounds like crap and goes like crap but some people still like to do it.

if you want your car to sound louder, you can increase the flow of exhaust by hollowing the catalytic converter.
the cat is the first part on your exhaust after your headers, it looks like a muffler, you unbolt from your exhaust and push out the honeycomb stuff inside until its straight through. This will make it louder, but its debatable whether you get power gains or whether you lose torque. either way its cheap and your gettin a louder exhaust.
