I have a EF Fairmont and the Climate control sometimes makes a hissing noise from the opening below the off button.
Any Ideas on what it can be?

Sound position can be hard to pinpoint at times. Low ac gas often gives rise to intermittent hissing with the hissing lasting a couple of seconds.

The little hole in the bottom has a vacuum line behind it that sucks air through the hole over the cabin temp sensor...maybe its that you are hearing?
