OK... this is gunna sound fanatical, but i bought a Fairlane coz they're supposed to be quiet and refined... Anyhoo, just finished using Stinger Roadkill on my bootlid, side panels, floor, parcel shelf and roof, have filled the gaps in the pillars with expanding foam, have painted the underside of the floor with bitumous paint, i even took the dash out and sound deadened there as well! Results were worth it, except for one thing, road noise through the windows... It's definitely not through the seals, does anyone have any ideas? Thicker glass perhaps?

try replacing your bailey channel rubbers that the glass sits in, tighter seals=less vibration and sound transmission through the glass

I was going to suggest that.
PM arm79, he DID have some, cause I almost bought them.
He's Altona based if you're willing to go that far, or he could arrange to have them a bit closer for you, Mt.Macedon, my place.
IF he still has them!

Yeah, I too found that when I deadened the cars interior the wind noise through the glass seamed to increase. It's always been the same level, just more noticeable now that everything else is quiet. I hear the engine bay more through the firewall now to as a consequence.

* Yo Steady. Hows the leech problem now in Macedon. Reason I ask is, last time I was up there, friend and I went for a bush walk 1/2 way up the hill nr the Macedon Cross. And there were these friggin tiny Leech's all over the place?

Nah, Adrian (arm79) is overseas, and I'm working.
If I talk to him on MSN tonight I'll ask him for you mate, if hes not answering PM's.

My EL Futura definatley has thicker glass than my ED, quite noticable.

Although it will be putting more strain on the window motors.

Yeah, thats another thing.
Keep the runners well lubricated, and you should be okay.
If your window regs are playing up now, it won't help the problem!
