Hey guys i am interested in buying a capri and found this one on carpoint.com.au and was wondering if anyone knows anything about the car or if the price for this car is worth it .. http://www.carpoint.com.au/used-car/FOR ... 87733.aspx

I was also looking at another one which looks cleaner and is located at http://www.carsales.com.au/pls/carsales ... istance=25

The main objective is to have a nice looking capri with minimal problems, and ultimatley running a mild/hot 302 in it (maybe more down the far track). I know the more expensive one already has the engine conversion done to it but i was keen on any one elses input who have worked with capris in the past.......Thank you

i think a good capri is worth every cent

becareful they have bad rust problems so make sure you inspect carefully to make sure repairs have been done properly

they came with wikked seats without headrests admittedly not that great in a crash but look mint

I was in the process of building a capri, I had 3 different ones in total, all had bad rust problems. Just behind the front wheels (behind guards which are usually welded on) is a bad spot for it and the front floors. Be very careful what you buy and you are prob better off paying more for a better one than getting a rusty one for a fix up. Good Luck they are very light cars so with a v8 they fly.

lONG LIVE THE CAPRI. a perfect match for the turd-runners at the track.

not a fan of the late series twin headlight front though. First thing to do is bin the V6 on the green one, they are a heavy gutless engine that was full of problems, Inlet manifold leak constantly. A 302w fits and looks so good in that huge engine bay, should of been a factory option.

it would also drop the value of car the second you take out the V6.
if you want a V8 get a s**t little 4cyl and do it that one

beg to differ, a properly re-built V6 capri donk can be bullet proof and a force to be reckoned with, but I do agree a 302 looks nice, and they were a factory option, in africa I believe, a nice little number call the Perana http://www.capri-perana.co.za/specs.html
