I wouldn't go as far as to say the EL has refinment, we all know that the EL had plenty of cost cutting too...

yes I agree, there are some cost cutting done such as:
- reducing the fan relays from 4 to 3
- removal of dip stick for auto transmission
- using crappy head lights (yellowing)
- removal of door lock and button on front passenger side
- reverting to old distributor instead of coil packs that was used on EF.

but there were some improvement on EL such as:
- improved suspension and steering feel
- improved occupants security by stiffening the body
- introduction of power assisted steering
- delay on boot release and boot light after ignition off
- speed sensitive wipers
- buttons matching interior color
- battery saver feature turning off all lights after 1 hour
- integration of mobile phone and radio mute etc..
- new front grill

so it depends on how you weigh it, you would know which one is better. For me, I had been driving an EL before I knew all of this --- so I can't complain.

Try Auto Web Concepts. They are really good people to deal with, here is a link to the Tickford stuff for the EF, they also stock EL kits and the Venom aswell:

Here we go again

I'm 99% positive that the EF XR (and especially ED XR) was manufactured before the quad lamp equipped Honda....

And mate, I've got about as much EL envy as I do Kia Rio with a 3" exhaust and cannon envy

ef xr was like late 94, integra was early 94 :p.
never said anything about the ED XR cos that's different. the ef front bar, and integra front bar look almost identical which was what i was pointing out :p.
No EL envy? Ok, keep your cat scratches and your op shop blue seat trim :p.

The EL XR had longer flares on the side and rear skirts. Not too sure about the front.

I say EL XR bodykits are MUCH nicer than EF....and I own an EF :P

You have to be kidding! they look nothing alike, the front grill is completely different! the blinkers are in different places and the bonnets are shaped differently. In fact the only thing they have in common are the quad lamps.

jet111, the skirts on both of those cars are the EL ones. As I said, the flares around the rear wheel are shorter on the EF kit.

EDIT - A comparison pic has been posted...but the EF is not the clearest pic. You can see what I mean by looking at the flare on the rear bumper.

i doubt ford copied honda. the front of the xr's would have been designed and locked in waaay before the honda was released.

Hahaha I'm not really saying that Ford copied Honda, I'm just picking s**t with him and laughing at the fact he loves a falcon with a front bar that looks almost identical to an Integra.
We have a tendency to take the piss out of eachother
