Hey, I've currenty own a EA Spack 5sp and am going to be buying a EF fairmont in the next 6 months. and I was just wondering if the 5sp box from the EA will Fit the EF?
I know that I also need to track down a ef manual ECU to run it properly because I don't want to do a half a** job and trick the old Auto ECU.
Just trying to guage costs, time to complete the conversion and if it will all work with the older Box.

rebuild the box if its doing that, more then likly the dogleg that holds reverse in is bent and cant hold it properly, then when power is transferred through the gear it jumps out.

Externally the boxes are the same, internally they are a little different (eg no syncro on reverse, different 1st gear ratio).

Apart from the gearbox itself, the flywheel will be different (you can use EA as long as you also use an EA clutch but once again not as good), the pedal box also requires mods to fit.
