just wondering out of interest, can u change a column shift auto to a floor shift auto?
i.e. what needs to be changed? i am SORTA looking at an old EL taki sedan that has got bucket seats in the front and as a result it has a column shift in it, but i wanna know how hard it will be to make it into a "normal" GLI? and soz i forgot to chedkc if it still had the hump so lets just assume it does cheers guys

You mean it has a bench seat, and hence column shift? hehe
I believe waggin's column shift EB ex-taxi still has the 'hump'. People have said that this EB can be converted from column to floor shift. I'm not sure how you'd go with moving the floor 'hand-brake', but I assume it can be done. But why would you want to convert to floor shift?! I'd LOVE a column shift! They're not very common - could make them a little more valuable when it comes to resale....
