ive got my i6 ef fairmont booked in monday to search for the " slight surges" occasionally... going to be checking out the coilpack n oxy sensor as posssible culprits.. they are going to test drive the car then do a diagnostic check to see if any fault codes show up...

yea all thats left is the leads and the coil pack as it did a head gasket 600kms before the bottem end bearings started to fail, so the head is fine. plugs were done bout 10000km ago

how hard is it to clean the oxy sensor, can it be cleaned? or how much is a new one?

bout 40 - 50 bucks. they should be changed at least every 100,000 i change mine every 50,000

They cant be cleaned

it might be so simple as your fuel filter. Check that.
