Have just bought Edelbrock Performer RPM heads #60259 for the EFI 5.0L w.
Problem is finding 1.7 RRs that fit under FMS cast aluminium covers.
Reason for 1.7's is that am currently using Crane 2031 cam & am not changing it.
Choices are Crane Gold Race Stud 7/16" #36757 but I am told these will interfere with covers. Is it that the posilocks are too tall. Can I use a lock nut instead or is that a stupid question?
The only other alternative is Yella Terra Platinum shaft 1.77 RR 7/16
but are mega expensive.

Can anyone tell me if the Crane Golds will fit? For that matter what is everyone using?

Richie

Should be able to get a Comp Cams (Pro Magnum?) in 1.7 - not cheap though either.
