My brother has this problem with his 7th month EF XR6 Manual sedan where when you start the engine the wipers start working and also the squirter pump motor.
He has only had the car for a few weeks but the warrenty was only good for 1000k's.
Apparently they will stop after a short time and be ok.

This problem just started this weekend.

Any ideas would be great.

the wipe switch is sorting out get it replaced
