a rebuild is where they rebuild your engine,a reco is an exchange from hmgem or similar.

Pull E.B engine appart and check clearances... BIG chance it only needs rings and bearngs?? DON'T bore it unless you realy have to!!!Timing chain and oil pump...
OR fit with Plasma rings.. Should be around $140 from www.Rocketindusties.com.au Or www.VPW.com.au Spend some $$$ on heads, 2030 cam and inlet....Maf latter....

nope, they are the same thing.[/quote] well actually there not,,the end result is the same but their definitions are different. as has been said a rebuild is useing your own motor and a reco is useing an exchange motor from a reconditioning factory.

From the "Dictionary of Automotive Terms" Quote: rebuild: To disassemble a particular device, clean it thoroughly, replace worn parts, and reassemble it. Also called "overhauling" or "recondition."
