i believe the guys at fern tree gulley are doing them, atleast i think it was them who was selling them, around the 1g mark for a box that bypasses the smartshield so u can run a stock ecu, i personally reckon for another few hundred a aftermarket ecu with vct control would be the better option, providing you havnt got a auto to run of course.

yea it is possible to run the stock ba ecu, but i have no idea if you can run a eseries auto off it, id guess you would need a ba auto, which would be better anyway

I dont know for sure, but i think you will run into problems running a older auto on a ba motor, for starters i dont think they are a straight bolt, and then there is more then likely differences in their wiring and shift points, oil pressure etc

why not just keep the BA engine and box together? saves trouble changing bellhousings and whatever else, and cant you just take the ECU - PCM - BEM most of the looms and all the smartshield stuff over with it?
