The Fairmont has developed a thudding sound in the right hand front wheel. It seems to be something to do with the wheel because it becomes more constant and less noticeable when travelling at speed.

Has anyone experienced this or know anything about it?

Any info greatly appreciated :)

Thanks
Pat

that could be anything from the wheel bearings to brake warp. to the tire or rims. you will have to do a bit of trial and error. or just take it to a wheel place and they will probably tell you in 1 second

As he said check wheel bearings by raising the front. move the wheel back and forth vertically and then horizontally. If it only clunks horizontally it will pay to check the outer tie rods and the rack ends for wear.
