Hey guys how are we going, just a general question that i need to know asap due to my diff in my car is gone, it is almost giving up on me and i need a way to fix it without spending too much $$$$ on it.
i have been quoted by a mechanic that it could be anywhere from 1000 - 1600 to replace the control arms and the diff. I want to know if there is any cheap way of getting another diff that will bolt straight onto my 1989 EA spac 5 speed manual 3.9L WITHOUT ANY MODS TO THE DIFF. I want to get out of this with the least amount of money possible as i am saving for a new car that i want to pics up in the near future.

thats what i was planning on doing but i dont know what diff from what cars i can get that will bolt straight onto mine without any mods or how long they are going to last.
Do i have to get an EA spac 5 speed man diff or can i get another diff from another e-series car and put that in.

EA-ED should bolt straight in, IF you get a disc to disc (don't know how swapping different spline axles would go, if you get a 28spline and try to use your 25's... don't know what mods would be required)
Maybe try and find a 3.45 LSD out of an XR while your getting a new one? Control arms shouldnt be hard to track down. I threw out some uppers about a year ago
