I have a 94 ef futura with cruise control which is currently not working.... when i trurn it on the light switches on (on the dash), but it does not engage. Just wondering if anyone has any hints at how i could remedy this. I will prob end up taking this to the mech to repair...but a dollar saved is a doller earned...or somthing like that. regards to all who reply =)

As the others have said, check the brake lights work, and if its a manual, check the clutch swith. There is a pressure sensor on the master cylinder too, check that is connected properly.
The buttons play up often too, have you tried setting it with both the + and - buttons?
Is the cable connected to the throttle body?
