Are they the same or very similiar.
what im trying to say is:
if i was to put a whole EL bem, dash loom, heater box etc etc into my EF is it a straight swap?

Hmmm IIRC NO. I think EL has 3 looms where as EF has 2. Defintely possible, jsut need a bit of rewiring.

If you are putting an EL BEM in there, then yes, I am sure they will be the same...the BEM would be the only difference...

yep will be using an EL bem.

ive broken my pedal box so dash needs to come out so i can fix it, might as well upgrade to CC while im at it.

sorta planning to run all EL wiring through my car, but obviously have to get EF ECU

Not quite.

I've got a EF ghia loom and BEM in my EL, and had to do a fair big of rewiring on one of the body loom connectors as it's a physically different plug/socket and wouldn't plug in. Rewired it all, and everything's fine.

The ECU loom is seperate entirely, so you don't need to worry about it.

But you'll want a matching BEM, eg. EF BEM and EF Loom, can't mix/match those.

You can add the CC wiring on it's own plus add the CC airbox gear without removing the airbox.

ah it would be mid series loom and BEM out of an EL fairmont.

im just thinking it may be easier to replace all the wiring to do CC.
