My front drivers window wont work,cable has come off and I dont know where it goes.And when I wind the window winder up or down nothing happens just a creaking noise comes from the winder.Can any1 help me out?

My EA hates the winders so i fitted an EB setup which looks alot stronger and i havent had any probs.
Go to a wrecker and ask for a winder mechanism for watever door its for. Then pull the trim off the door have a look inside and figure out how to mount it.

Ive done it a few times now coz i kept buying EA ones, first time i did it took me almost 90mins and now i can do in15mins so just be patient its pretty easy considering you have an EA-ED. Dont now about other models.

my EF front drivers side power window dosent like goin back up, i have to hold it straight, when winding up, and gets a little tricky if im driving with the window down and it starts raining

your window regulator is stuffed. dont bother buying a second hand one could last foreva and it could bust in a few months, you can get the electric type new on ebay for 69+ p+h

keep your eyes out for a manual one. when fitting it either buy the pop rivets off ford for the job or just use 10mmbolts n nuts.

im wrecking an EA Fairmont Ghia if u need electric regs i think they are still up for grabs if u want them
