When i got my car the owner (good friend) said that the air cond. air flow will fluctuate unless its on High (if that makes sence). He said that some paper got sucked in the air intake for the aic cond. but no matter if its on recycle or fresh air. This is really annoying because in summer it sucks that i can not have it on a steady 2 to keep the car cool so i have to keep turning it on and off.
I looked in the manual and i can't find EXACTLY where the air intake is. I really dont want to pull the whole dash apart to get the air cond. box for the paper. Can any ones help????????

Where that flap is? If so i notice if you put your hand up there you feel the fan. So if what he is saying is correct the paper should be up there somewhere or further in?

Ok. I just went out side and i had a look and it seems it works fine when the engine is NOT running. When i turn the engine on it works fine for the first few secs/mins but then it fluctuates and i notice ONLY because its night time, but when the park lights are on i notice they also fluctuate as the fan does. So has the fan s**t its self or is it the alternator??? Keep in mind the car has done nearly 300'000Kms and probably still on its first alternator.
What does everyone think.

take a look at the voltage when the fan speed fluctuations happen

Im guessing i would have to use a mulitmeter to check the voltage but where do i hook it up to? The loom for the heater fan? Any place else? How do i test my alternator?
