Hey i recentley bought my ef xr6 and was after a bit of advice,
it has some head work and a stage 2 cam but the owner said the bottom end wasn't touched he said compression was lowered in plans for a turbo conversion, i have no plans to continue down this avenue but want to retrieve the lost power from compression drop. i tested this and got 8.5:1 is a decompression plate the probable method? if so is it as simple as taking it out and retuning?any help would be great cheers! |

Can you see a decom plate? He could have ground the chambers out to decrease compression.

if there is no decompression plate, have the head shaved to gain compression.
